    Gympal's new workout progress stats

We’re working towards making Gympal the best workout tracker app we can build.

A big part of that is making sure Gympal doesn’t just help you log your workouts, but also helps you understand them. Your workout history contains a lot of information about how you train, and we wanted to make that information much more useful.

That’s why we’ve been working on a complete rework of Gympal’s stats and progress tracking.

    Sets per muscle group

How much are you actually training each muscle group? Sets per muscle group gives you an overview of the total number of sets you’ve completed for each muscle group.

This makes it easier to understand how your training is distributed and see where your workout volume is going.

    Body Heatmap

The Body Heatmap gives you a visual overview of your weekly sets per muscle group. It’s a quick way to see which parts of your body you’ve been training and how your training is distributed.

Sometimes a visual overview is all you need to spot patterns in your training.

    Routine Progress

Routines are a big part of how many people structure their training. Routine Progress lets you see how your routines are progressing over time.

Instead of only looking at individual workouts, you can step back and see the bigger picture of how your training has developed.

    Records & Top 10

One of the things we wanted to make easier to explore was your best and most significant training data.

Top 10 gives you different ways to look at your training. You can see your most frequently trained exercises, your best one-rep maxes, your highest volume, and other training records.

You can also switch over to muscles to see how your training volume, sets, and reps are distributed across different muscle groups.

With different time ranges, you can focus on your recent training or look further back through your workout history.

This gives you a simple way to see what you’ve been training the most and how your performance has changed, without having to dig through individual workouts.

    We’re just getting started

These new stats are another step towards our bigger goal for Gympal. We don’t want Gympal to be just another app for logging workouts. We want it to be a complete workout tracker that helps you understand your training and keep improving.

There’s still a lot we want to build and improve, but we’re excited about where Gympal is heading. We’ll keep listening, experimenting, and finding new ways to make your workout data more useful.
