How to Perform Calf Extension (Machine)

Add the appropriate amount of weight and sit on the calf extension machine.

Place the balls of your feet on the foot plate with your heels hanging off.

Rest the pad across your thighs and engage your abs.

Take a breath and press the plate away by extending your ankles, squeezing your calves at the top and exhale.

Slowly lower your heels back down as far as comfortable and breathe in.

Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
