How to Perform Lat Pulldown - Close Grip

    Attach a close grip or V-bar handle to the high pulley of a cable machine and sit with your thighs under the pads.

    Grab the handle with a neutral grip and sit tall with your arms fully extended.

  3. 3

    Retract your shoulder blades, engage your abs, and take a breath.

  4. 4

    Pull the handle down toward your upper chest by driving your elbows down and back, squeezing your lats at the bottom and exhale.

  5. 5

    Slowly extend your arms back to the starting position and breathe in.

    Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
