How to Perform Plate Front Raise

  1. 1

    Grab a weight plate with both hands on the sides and stand tall with your feet shoulder-width apart.

    Let your arms hang straight down with the plate in front of your thighs.

  3. 3

    Engage your abs and take a breath.

  4. 4

    Raise the plate straight out in front of you to shoulder height, squeezing your shoulders at the top and exhale. Keep a slight bend in your elbows.

  5. 5

    Slowly lower back to the starting position and breathe in.

  6. 6

    Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
