How to Perform Farmers Carry

    Add the appropriate amount of weight to a trap bar and stand inside it with your feet hip-width apart.

    Grab the handles and stand tall with your arms straight.

  3. 3

    Retract your shoulder blades, engage your abs, and take a breath.

  4. 4

    Walk forward at a steady pace for the desired distance or time, breathing steadily throughout.

  5. 5

    Keep your chest up and avoid leaning to either side.

  6. 6

    Set the trap bar down with control when finished.
