How to Perform HIIT

    Choose your exercises and set your work and rest intervals.

    Begin with a light warm-up for a few minutes.

    Perform each exercise at maximum effort during the work interval, breathing steadily.

    Rest fully during the rest interval before beginning the next round.

  5. 5

    Continue for the desired number of rounds.

  6. 6

    Finish with a cool-down by slowing your pace and stretching.

Training Guidelines

The targets below are general guidelines. Adjust volume and intensity based on your experience, recovery, and goals. If you track effort, aim for most working sets around RPE 7–9.
